CONCERTS AT ST. IGNATIUS

Warmth, richness, intimacy and excellence have always been the signatures of Concerts at St. Ignatius (formerly Sacred Music in a Sacred Space), a series called "invaluable" by The New York Times. Located in the historic Church of St. Ignatius Loyola in New York City, the series celebrates the many forms and origins of sacred music, spanning over 1,000 years of music history. Known for their artistic excellence, the Choir and Orchestra of St. Ignatius Loyola offer performances of large-scale choral masterpieces as well as more intimate and reflective settings by lesser-known composers. Internationally acclaimed organists play recital programs on the Church's magnificent N.P. Mander Pipe Organ, the largest tracker organ in the New York metropolitan area. Distinguished guest artists from around the world—Grammy-winning classical vocal and instrumental ensembles, contemporary jazz and classical fusion artists, luminaries of world music and others—honor the series with a great variety of musical expression. Cocktail Benefit concerts blend music, wine, food, and friendship in the name of social justice.
